September 25, 2011

Jim Tubertini passed away on July 31, 2011 at his home in Tucson, AZ with his wife Roberta at his side. A special Jim Tubertini Memorial Fund was established at the Give Something Back International Foundation by the Tubertini family & friends.

Jim was a life long learner and after retirement from Lucent Technologies - Bell Labs in 2002, he was especially active with students at Hunterdon Central High School both as an employee and as a volunteer and serving as the President of the Red Devils Football Booster club.

Given Jim’s devotion to students, the Jim Tubertini Memorial Fund will be used to build a school for poor rural students in earthquake ravaged Haiti. This school will be dedicated in his memory.

Andrew Ezzell of the GSBI Foundation was one of Jim’s career mentors at AT&T Bell Laboratories at Murray Hill, NJ. At the time, Jim was Vice President of the local CWA union and they work together on a number of projects focused on bringing together union and management employees to collaboratively work on solving organizational problems.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Roberta Tubertini. Also surviving are three dear children and their families, Jessica, her husband Ed Szybowski and their daughters Gabrielle and Victoria, Matthew Tubertini and his fiancée Elise LaBricciosa.

A special Isabelle Ezzell Memorial Fund was established by the Ezzell family & friends for their dear mother and friend that passed away on December 22, 2005.

Isabelle Ezzell, a 13-year resident of Sanibel, Florida, died from complications of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and post-polio syndrome. Isabelle contracted polio in 1950 “five years before the vaccine was discovered“ which affected her legs and breathing. She was the 12th child of a family of 11 girls and 2 boys. When asked how many of his children were boys, her father of Irish decent would usually reply with his Irish humor, 'They are all boys but eleven.'

Izzy had many friends from Thailand who were doctors, dentists, faculty, or students at the Indiana University Dental School, and many boarded at her home. While establishing the GSBI Foundation, Andy and JoAnn visited with a number of her friends in Bangkok on one of their initial trips in 2003. Izzy was instrumental in helping them select Thailand as one of the countries that the Foundation would assist.

For this reason, the family and friends have chosen to build a school in her name in a rural area of Thailand to help educate disadvantaged children that would not be able to attend school without your assistance.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested assistance in building this living memorial. You may make your donation to the Isabelle Ezzell Memorial Fund through a check to:

We will keep donors informed on the progress being made in the selection of the location and building of this school. If anyone is interested in participating in the building or dedication of the school, please let us know and we will contact you.

The family has also established a memorial website in her honor at www.IsabelleEzzell.com
